Christmas Break Fun

After all of the hustle and bustle we had some down time back in Hickory.  We met up with the Raineys and had some fun at the Science Center.  

A Very Merry Christmas

   Christmas 2010 was so much fun. Carsyn learned about baby Jesus and of course Santa Claus. We started out our celebration at the Children's service where Carysn was quite restless. However she did enjoy hearing the children sing and also tried to steal on of the other kids cup cakes.

   After church we went to Grammy and Poppy's house.   The first thing she opened Christmas Eve was a toy tea set. Well after that nothing else mattered the entire night. She wouldn't have anything to do with other gifts or toys. At least it kept her entertained. After having a little family Christmas we visited with good friends where Carsyn was able to play with Loch. They had so much fun running and screaming all over the house.

  Christmas morning was a little slow getting started. Mom was up but Josh and Carsyn slept until about 10-10:30. Must have been that nice snowy weather or staying up until midnight. We had a lot of fun watching Carsyn empty her stocking, unwrap her presents, and of course play with her new toys. Santa brought her an awesome train/Lego table. She also got her new best friends Buddy and Tiny from her favorite show Dinosaur Train.  After a quick morning of playing and watching Toy Story 3 we were off to Greensboro.

   The drive was a little scary with all of the snow, but we finally made it to Grandma and Papa's house. We arrived just in time for dinner and fun with the Weavers. After which Carsyn finally discovered her play kitchen that Grandma and Papa got her. She loved it! We had a lot of good times in Greensboro going to the Filling Station, Friendly, and of course a little MJ dancing.

   Now back to Hickory...

Happy Halloween

Carsyn had so much fun this Halloween. We went trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood. She loved knocking on the doors and would say "Thank You. Bye Bye."  By the last house she finally said trick-or-treat. Then ending the night at Uncle Brad and Aunt Sarah's house she was on a total sugar high and going wild. Oh I love Halloween...

Pumpkin Patch

We had such a great time at the Pumpkin Patch. We enjoyed a hayride, corn maze, corn pit, mini John Deere track, petting zoo, and of course picking out our pumpkins. Carsyn was so excited that Grammy and Poppie came too.

Back In Boone

We had another wonderful fall weekend in Boone. Carsyn loved the band and the cheerleaders pom poms.  Josh loved that Carsyn could attract more women than a puppy...and well mom just loved standing back and watching them both.

Ready, Set, Go...

Saturday Josh, Carsyn, Macie, and I along with our team from The Perfect Workout joined in to help fight breast cancer. We participated in the Race For The Cure 5K. We had so much fun. Thank you to all of you that donated to our cause. We raised over $150 and as a Team over $2500. We were proud to honor so many friends and loved ones. May we one day soon find a cure once and for all.

Josh and I had a wonderful weekend away in Charleston. We finally made it down to see Rob and Carolina. I don't know why it took us so long. I love that place. We also had fun with all of friends of our old college friends at the Hutchins wedding. Congrats Mark and Sarah!
